Origin: Thailand

  • 2-5gr/200ml
  • 95°C
  • 6 min infuse

This fresh infusion all the way from Thailand is characterized by its mild and delicate lemon flavor. Lemongrass is, as the name suggests, a grass that smells like lemon. This property makes lemongrass a fresh seasoning that we often find especially in South Asian cuisines. The grass itself is tough and thick and cannot be eaten, but the aromas released during cooking are surprisingly delicious. Lemongrass is also attributed some medicinal aspects: relief from colds or flus, can also relieve various ailments such as fever and abdominal cramps and stimulate digestion. Furthermore, lemongrass is known to scare away mosquitoes (and cats!).

Some Tips

Because of the pleasant taste of this herb, lemongrass is becoming increasingly popular to make a drink from. This heartwarming tea is nicely cooked with a pipe cinnamon. After cooling down to a lukewarm drink (45°C) you can finish it and serve it with some honey and lime juice! This tea is also enjoyed with a spicy curry dish…
You can also mix these herbs to your heart’s content with our dried ginger tea for an even spicier infusion.

Tip: To cook, it is better to use fresh lemongrass stalks that are more convenient to remove from your dish or ground powder.
