This dark oolong tea comes from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian province in China. This area is known for its Oolong rock tea. “Rou Gui” literally means Cassia or Chinese cinnamon. This is due to its sweet smell of sugar bread, speculaas, cinnamon and frangipanne. On the palate, this tea is filming and tastes roasted, like tobacco and mineral, typical of this rock tea. This oolong tea is up to 80% oxidized, making this tea close to black tea. Rougui distinguishes itself from other Wuyi oolongs by its gastronomic character. This fine oolong tastes sharp, clear and pleasantly bitter with a clear cinnamon accent in the aroma and a sweet, milky undertone, soft and full of flavor.

This Oolong can also be poured several times with warm water of 95°C.
