This green tea with roasted, brown rice grains from the Japanese province of Kyushu has a roasted, sweet flavour. The brown rice grains balance the known bitterness of green tea. During roasting, some rice grains explode — hence the name "popcorn tea". Traditionally served in Japan as "wine" with the meal.
