Azumatsuru Junmai “The origin”

This junmai sake is a gem from the Azumatsuru brewery in Saga in the deep south of Japan. The rice used, Saga no Hana, is a local variety and gives the sake a very typical and unique character. The nose surprises with a play of banana, milk chocolate, and light soy sauce. The body is medium and soft, but at the same time also rich in texture and umami.
