A pure and modern sake with a floral and fruity character that is both lively and soft on the palate.
In 2016, the Wakatakeya Brewery celebrated its 317th anniversary. The producer: Mr. Hayashida, the current president, represents the 14th generation of this family brewing the sake of their ancestors, with quality and tradition being the key words. The Wakatakeya brewery was founded in 1699 near Kurume. The founder, Mr. Wakatake, was the owner of a sakagura (sake warehouse) when he fell under the spell of sake. While other brewers used rice from surplus rice fields, Mr. Wakatake is only used by using quality rice, specially grown for sake. The family’s motto “Never leave a rice field” reflects their philosophy that a product is only as good as its ingredients…

Once opened, store in the refrigerator for 2 weeks, in the basement for 2 years.
