Flavour Profile: Smoked – Cocoa, Honey, Cherry brandy

This exceptional sake is made according to a certified method dating back to the era of the samurai: the Genroku era (17th century). The recipe, a family heirloom, is kept secret by the Wakatakeya Shuzo brewery. The Wakatakeya brewery was founded in 1699 on the island of Kyushu. Plagued by the Genroku, Mr. Hayashida told us their secret: A manuscript more than 300 years old, is used to make their sake. The result? A unique koshu, with sweet and complex flavors. Perfect for cocktails and as an accompaniment to desserts.

Optimally drunk at room temperature (25°C) or heated (55 °C)
